Next to Edith Stein, Gerda Walther and Hedwig Conrad-Martius, other women philosophers were working in the field of phenomenology. Some of these women who studied with Husserl and Pfänder were, like charlotte Bühler, among the first female professors in German speaking countries. Others like Gertrud Kuznitzky remained autodidacts working outside of academia. Many of their contributions remain little explored to this day.
