My main research interest is about the relation between imagination and moral agency. My concern is whether imagination, as a human creative activity, and the products of it, i.e. pictures, novels, artwork in general, influence our practical reasoning, especially when we deliberate what course of action to follow. Is our moral agency only triggered by intellectual reasons? Or is there something else that influences how and why we act? I consider that our moral theory must account for everything that influences the phenomenon of moral agency. I find especially in Iris Murodoch an approach to this way of accounting for moral agency where imagination plays an essential role in our moral action.
