This special issue explores the significant contributions of Latin American women philosophers from the 16th to the 21st centuries, focusing on their interdisciplinary, political, ethical, feminist, and decolonial perspectives.

Possible topics include:
– Women’s emancipation in Latin American philosophy
– Gender equality and citizenship
– Women’s political rights and participation
– Universal access to education
– The representation of women’s bodies in philosophy
– Conceptions of human nature and gender
– Historical debates on women’s intellectual capacities
– Theoria and praxis: Women, femininity, and socio-political movements

We welcome original research articles and critical essays from scholars in philosophy, history, women’s studies, Latin American studies, and related fields.
