The DGPhil founded the Working Group for Women in the History of Philosophy in 2017. The working group is intended to serve as a networking platform for research and teaching. It shall be a place of sharing and acquiring information on women in the history of philosophy. The aim is to get researchers interested in the field of women in the history of philosophy and their projects in touch.
This networking project is available to all German-speaking researchers. The aim is to create a common and comprehensive information base on women in the history of philosophy. Included here are also those women thinkers who were active in the marginal areas of philosophy and science, such as women in medicine (Hildegard von Bingen, Dorothee Erxleben and many others), women in the history of mathematics (Agnesi, Bassi, Germain and many others), the history of logic and physics.
