Cold Days, Hot Topics: Teaching program for Winter Semester 2026/27

Last week, Paderborn University welcomed its new students during Orientation Week. We hope everyone had a great start, found their way around campus, and is ready for the semester ahead. Tomorrow, the first courses of the Winter Semester 2026/27 begin – and with them, a new teaching program by members of the Center for the History of Women Philosophers and Scientists.

Teaching and research in the History of Women Philosophers have been established at Paderborn University since 2005 through the work of Prof. Dr. Ruth Hagengruber – long before the Center for the History of Women Philosophers and Scientists was founded. The aim remains clear: to bring visibility to the long and often overlooked tradition of women philosophers and to deepen our understanding of their contributions to the history of ideas.
