Inauguration of the Center for the “History of Women Philosophers and Scientists“ on October 24th, 2016
 The first European Center for the “History of Women Philosophers and Scientists” opened at Paderborn University, Germany. Opening speeches were delivered by Simone Probst (Vice President for Operations at Paderborn University), Svenja Schulze (Minister for Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia), Prof. Dr. Volker Peckhaus (Paderborn University) and the director of the project Prof. Dr. Ruth Hagengruber (Paderborn University). Prof. Dr. c.h. Dominik Perler (President of the German Society for Philosophy (DGPhil)/ Humboldt University of Berlin) sent his greetings in a letter. In her keynote speech project advisor Prof. Dr. em. Mary Ellen Waithe (Cleveland State University) talked about the importance of questioning and reviewing the philosophical canon. Prof. Dr. Elisabeth de Sotelo (University of Koblenz and Landau), Prof. Dr. Klaus Mainzer (Technical University of Munich), Prof. Dr. Saffet Babür (Yeditepe University) and Prof. Dr. Barry Smith (University at Buffalo) also addressed the inauguration. The manager of the Center Julia Mühl (Paderborn University) and team member Julia Lerius (Paderborn University) presented the new webpage: http://historyofwomenphilosophers.org/ Mitra Behpoori and Kazuyo Tsunehiro pleased the audience with an exceptional musical performance.
