I am interested in questions about nature:  time, capacity, the human-nonhuman animal relationship, the reception of ancient Greek philosophy of nature in 18^th-19^th century German thought.  In the past few years, I have been working on the philosophy of time in Sappho of Lesvos and have just begun investigating temporality in the works of Karoline von Günderrode.
