New Voices Member Andrew Cooper is an associate professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK. He is the author of The Tragedy of Philosophy (2016) and his edition of Amalia Holst’s On the Vocation of Woman to Higher Intellectual Education has recently been published by Oxford University Press (August 2023). Though an analysis of Holst’s radical pedagogy, which advocates for equal educational opportunities for men and women, the project interrogates the the neglect of women in the historiography of German philosophy.
