Alzbeta Hajkova New Voices Research Profile

I am currently working on my dissertation on Hannah Arendt, which considers how Arendt’s political concepts can inform our current debates about social and political phenomena such as refugee crisis, politics of identity, and gender equality. I explore Arendt’s concepts of „the right to have rights“ and labor as mechanisms granting refugees access to public space. I am also interested in how Arendt’s politics of actioncan serve as a mechanism for empowering of opressed and marginalized groups in the public space and politics. My other research interests include feminist theory, history of political thought, philosophy of law, and ethics of emerging technologies such as AI and Big Data.
