CV: Judith P. Zinsser wrote the intellectual biography of the marquise, and co-translated a selection of her writings from French into English. She has authored numerous articles for North American and European journals and collections about Du Châtelet. She hopes in the future to create a collection of such articles for Dr. Hagengurber’s series on Women Philosophers. Her current project is a narrative of the history of America’s own Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, the third successor to the company originally founded by Sergei Diaghilev. She is also proud to have co-authored the now classic A History of Their Own: Women in Europe from Prehistory to the Present (2 vols., 1988).
