Emilie du Chatelet Interviews at the Center for the History of Women Philosophers and Scientists

Today we are introducing Hanns-Peter Neumann. As a research fellow at Paderborn University, Hanns-Peter Neumann is leading the team

 responsible for the historical-critical edition of the Paris manuscripts of Émilie Du Châtelet. Neumann, who will be largely responsible for the editorial work, is focusing on the revision stages of the Institutions de physique as they are revealed in the manuscripts and on the interferences between Leibniz-Wolffianism and Émilie Du Châtelet’s conception of her Institutions de physique.

Leading up to Emilie du Chatelet’s Birthday we wanted to interview our colleagues on their research. We asked them questions on their motivation, accomplishments and future goals. We look forward to your thoughts and reactions to our interviews. We hope to spread awareness on women philosophers and emphasize the importance of including them.
