My research broadly concerns processes of generation. My PhD consists of a deconstruction of contemporary analytic accounts of emergence, and critiques the lack of process metaphysics involved in recend conceptualisations of emergence. In my PhD, I offer F.W.J Schelling’s process metaphysics as a basis for resituation emergence such that becoming in the form of emergence is ubiquitous. My interest in generation is presented in my wider research where I examine Schelling’s concept of longing as a generative capacity, and the relationship between becoming and temporality and eternity. I have a growing interest in how the Nineteenth Century Women philosophers conceptualised generation in both materialistic and systematic terms.
