Ruth Hagengruber created in cooperation with students of the University of Paderborn short films and plays on women philosophers. It is meant to introduce the students to the possibilities of multimedia editing of philosophical texts and biographies. 

Ada Lovelace was an English mathematician and writer. Ada received a strict scientific upbringing. Early on, she drew up construction plans for all kinds of machines and corresponded with the famous mathematicians.She worked on Charles Babbage‘s proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine.

She made extensive calculations and eventually her annotations were three times longer than the original text. She was the first to recognise the applications beyond pure calculation, and her notes contained the first algorithm intended to be carried out by a machine. She is often regarded as the first computer programmer.

Nowadays the 12th of October is dedicated to Ada Lovelace in order to empower women in STEM.
