My reaserch is focused on the early modern period and the intersections between literature and philosophy. I am especially interested in moral and politial philosophy, in the persona of the philosopher, and in issues related to philosophical authority and credibility. Most of my research is centered on Scandinavian women and on connecting them to a broader European context. I currently work within the research project “Archeology of the Female Intellectual Identity. Denmark and Germany, 1650-1800” at Copenhagen University, where I explore the writings of Swedish poet and philosopher Hedvig Charlotta Nordenflycht (1718-1763).
