Hildegard von Bingen Guided Tour (July 19th to 21st, 2017)
Our Executive Sprinter Mercedes Benz Conference Van picks you up from your hotel after breakfast on July 19th, 2017 to the place where vineyards frame the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Upper Middle Rhine Valley” at the cultural wine villages of Bingen, Rüdesheim, and Assmannshausen. In Rüdesheim we will stroll along the world-famous “Drosselgasse” with its cheerful atmosphere and start our relaxing boat trip along the Rhine past mediaeval castles and ancient villages of half-timbered buildings. The 475-year-old inn, our *****Hotel Krone in Assmannshausen, has all the comfort and convenience of a five-star hotel and is located in the very heart of this historical, romantic, and picturesque vineyard landscape near Rheinstein and Reichenstein Castle. Please not that all meals are included in this tour.

Benedictine Abbey of Saint Hildegard (July 19th, 2017)
On our first day we are going to visit Hildegard’s second monastery in Eibingen near Rüdesheim and talk to an expert nun about life in keeping with the traditions of Saint Hildegard. The Abbey is the subsequent monastery of Rupertsberg (1148/9) founded originally in 1165 and rebuild around 1900. You will be greeted by a stunning panoramic view of the Middle Rhine Valley and the tranquility of the abbey church.

Hildegard Museum am Strom and Garden (July 20th, 2017)
Discover the museum‘s large Hildegard exhibition. In fascinating models, the historical monasteries take shape again while impressive art and musical works, precious originals (e.g. the first print of “Physica“ from 1553), and elaborate graphics make her life and works vivid. In addition to the Hildegard of Bingen exhibition in the neighboring Museum am Strom, the garden contains a large variety of plants that Hildegard described in her natural works.

Riverboat cruise Bingen – St. Goar round trip (July 20th, 2017)
A riverboat cruise on the Rhine is the perfect complement to our Hildegard discovery tour in Bingen, Odernheim, and Rüdesheim. We will start our cruise at Bingen, where we will sit back and enjoy the views of the vineyards, the picturesque landscapes, villages, and castles.

Monastry ruins at Disibodenberg (July 21st, 2017)
At the age of 14, Hildegard of Bingen moved into the nun‘s convent in the monastery at Disibodenberg where she received her education and in 1141, started to write her first work “Scivias”. Before going back to Paderborn, we will explore the ruins, which are at the top of the hill, embedded into a romantic park environment.
