Within the Libori Summer School 2017, the project “History of Women Philosophers and Scientists” offers a study abroad program for international (under-)graduate students from July 17th to 30th, 2017. Immerse yourself in philosophy by women of the medieval period by walking in Hildegard of Bingen’s footsteps.
This program includes inter alia:
2017/17/07-2017/30/07: Two weeks’ single-occupancy hotel at Paderborn University “Campus Lounge”,
2017/18/07-2017/21/07: Three-day bus tour to historic Bingen, Rüdesheim, Odernheim, and Koblenz with two nights’ accommodation and all meals included plus preparatory program at Paderborn University and in historic Paderborn,
2017/24/07-2017/28/07: Five days of classroom instruction (10 am-12:30 pm; 2-5 pm) on Medieval Women Philosophers: Heloise, Hildegard, Mechthild of Magdeburg, Tullia d’Aragona, Catarina da Siena, Julian of Norwich, and a taste of early modern women philosophers of the Arnauld family.
